Etiologia e incidência das lesões bucomaxilofaciais no cenário da guerra
Resumo
Os traumatismos faciais no cenário da guerra são um fator importante de incapacidade funcional e estética. Devido a localização da face no corpo e a falta de equipamento de proteção adequado, lesões são comuns nesta região. A evolução do padrão destas lesões acompanhou a mudança na sua etiologia ao longo dos últimos anos. Portanto é importante identificar o tipo de armamento empregado, assim como realizar a prevenção e tratamento otimizado dessas lesões. O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar a etiologia e incidência destes tipos de lesão através de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Foram utilizadas plataformas de pesquisa científica (PUBMED, Scielo e ScienceDirect) e análise das publicações relacionadas a este tema. Podemos concluir com base nos dados pesquisados que as lesões bucomaxilofaciais no cenário da guerra apresentam relevante incidência e sua principal etiologia foram os estilhaços/explosivos. Dessa forma, podemos destacar o importante papel do cirurgião bucomaxilofacial no contexto da saúde operativa.
