Main Article Content
Abstract
The pandemic caused by COVID-19 brought a new reality to society in general. At schools, there was a need to redefine the teaching model, which became completely online. (Facing ) this new scenario, the Osorio Foundation redefined its model of teaching to meet this new demand, acquiring resources and technologies to support this new modality. Teachers, in turn, found themselves facing a new challenge: promoting teaching and learning mediated by digital tools and encouraging student engagement in knowledge construction. Therefore, this experience report aimed to identify the methodologies adopted by the teachers of the elementary education of the Osorio Foundation in promoting student engagement and learning. For this, an (online) survey containing five open-ended questions was applied, through which it was possible to identify not only the adopted methodologies, but also the difficulties and solutions found. Therefore, it was concluded that it is possible, through different methodologies, resources, tools and family support, to promote greater student engagement in online learning.
