The territorial control strategy of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (2014-2015)

Abstract
The article discusses the urban strategy of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (2014-2015) in the region of its primary action between the years 2014 to 2015. The article analyzes how the organization uses its dominion over territories to build the territorial bases of the self-proclaimed caliphate, provide logistical points that allow the control of new localities, and institutionalize their presence in the region of Iraq and Syria.
