Between Narrative and Force
Interview with Robinson Farinazzo
Abstract
The interview with Lieutenant Colonel Robinson Farinazzo, a retired officer from the Marine Corps of the Brazilian Navy and Defense consultant for multiple media channels, brings subsidies for a reflection on the legitimacy of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The interview was conducted via email in the ping-pong mode by Lilian de Paula Santos and Diego Amaro de Almeida, edited and approved by the Journal Editors, João Freire Junior and Arlindo José de Barros Junior. Throughout the interview, Robinson Farinazzo discusses the position of Brazil in relation to the war and expresses his opinion on the central role of the Armed Forces in the country. He discusses the narrative as a weapon and, finally, comments on the lessons that a war can bring.
